- ELBA Automotive, is a Tier 1 supplier specialized in exterior lighting mainly for European Carmakers with a delivery footprint in 4 continents,
- Within the R&D Department of the Automotive business unit, we develop stable solutions for use in high volume manufacturing. We are always looking for new innovations, in order to offer a range of new concepts and applicable solutions, for our end customer. The focus is targeting additional functionalities, light output, quality or energy consumption.
Main responsibilities:
- Realize the thermal simulation (meshing, simulation, analysis and reccommendations) based on input from mechanical teams, considering customer technical specifications and other inputs from the project
- Analyse risks and make recommendations
- Compare and analyse thermal simulations and laboratory tests
- Continously improve simulation parameters and library data in order to converge towards the results obtained in laboratory
- Achieve the optimized design in terms of quality, feasibility in life series and cost
- Identifying and integrating new solutions, materials, including new requests from customers
- Team work with internal and customer development team
Requirements
- University Degree (e.g.: Mechanics, Physics, Computer Sciences)
- Proven Experience in Thermal Simulations for automotive industry; automotive lighting previous experience will be highly valuated
- Proven experience in analysis of the technical specifications in automotive sector, necessary for thermal design
- Teamwork, good communication capabilities both internally and with external partners
- Fluent English speaker, German or French represent an advantage
- Available for business trips
